Great little air museum. Free admission. Bus tour is only for US citizens as it goes into military area. There is map about the planes outside. No descriptions though so you have to google details of the planes.
Great visit and we will return again to see more. We ended up talking to Dick, one of the guides, and he was simply amazing. What started as stopping by for an intended half an hour quick-see turned into a personally guided hour and a half that went by in five minutes. Dick's knowledge of and obvious passion for every piece in the museum was an utter joy to be part of and absolutely infectious. Thank you so much for such a great time!
We were given a tour of the museum by a Vietnam era pilot who flew F 4 phantom fighter jets and B52 bombers. Very informative and a joy to listen to
A little disappointing, but was free, so can't go wrong there. Not unhappy chose to stop. Visited in October, outside very windy (up to 50 mph) but sun was warm. Not a large facility. Must enter & exit via small gift shop so beware if you have children {: )
An amazing facility for the price! ;) The exhibits are well marked to do self-guided tours, or meet one of the veterans who can tell you firsthand stories about the planes. The tour of the base is well worth it too, seeing the missile silo and how far the lid can fly. If you’re lucky you might see them running up the B-52 too!
